BSCC U13 A continue winning streak

Skipper Charlie Laking won the toss at Broxbourne and elected to bowl first on a beautiful batting wicket, as flat as the M11. Broxbourne batted well scoring a lot of boundaries, however we bowled enough dot balls to keep the run rate down to just over a run a ball after their 20 overs, which we were reasonably happy with. The pick of the bowlers was Thomas Greenhill who managed to bowl 3 overs for just 6 runs to their best two batsmen. Lucas Dordoy also bowled well picking up 2 wickets with a wicket a piece for Paddy A-L and Harry Pigram too.

In response we more or less coasted to victory scoring at the required rate throughout, before a quick finish at then end to win with 2.2 overs to spare. Henry Hawkins was the anchor we batted around scoring 26*, with Charlie Laking (21), Harry Pigram (32* retired) and Zac Saunders (18*) providing the stroke play.

To give an idea of how we are playing this season, it was probably the least convincing win of the season so far, with us bowling too many wides and still some slip ups in the field, however it was still a very solid win over a full strength Broxbourne side that normally qualify for the finals every season, so we are in very good shape overall!
