BSCC U13Bs 2 win 4 in a row!

The U13 BSCC B Team made it 4 wins from 4 this season with an excellent win at Hockerill CC tonight.

Skipper Jake Curtis elected to bat first having won the toss. We decided to mix the order up from usual giving others a chance to bat at the top of the innings. Unfortunately we lost a couple of early wickets to good catches but after that, the scoring was excellent with Harry Thompson, Matt Reader, Herbie MacLeod and TJ Tyndall all retiring. Harry Thompson had the best score with a fantastic 23*. We finished with 129-3 in our 20 overs.

We managed to bowl even better than we batted, with high standards in the field too. There was an excellent direct hit run out from TJ Tyndall and a great diving catch by Herbie MacLeod, as well as a lot of clean bowled wickets too. The wickets were shared by George Swanson, Fraser Swanson, Zac Ziepe, Herbie MacLeod and 2 for Jake Curtis.

A big thank you to U11 George Swanson who joined the team at the last minute to make up numbers due to a drop out, and managed to score 5 not out and take a wicket!

I've been extremely happy with how the B team have performed so far this season, the standards with bat, ball and in the field have been very high! The boys have behaved and acted perfectly too, which is impressive in these odd times, so I couldn't have asked for more. Hopefully we can maintain these standards for the rest of the season!
