BSCC B vs High Roding

It was a fanastic game today at High Roding, with the game coming down to the last over.

BSCC bowled first, with a wicket with the second ball from George Lello. Then was then a long partnership for HR, however our tight bowling meant the run rate was low. A second breakthrough came from TJ Tyndall, who had their set batsmen excellently caught at cover by skipper Jake Curtis. Joel Bagnall then took a high catch off George Lello’s bowling before, a late flurry of boundaries and a few mis-fields from our lads meant High Roding reached an good score of 125-3 in their 25 overs.

We knew they had 4 district bowlers in their side, including BSCC member Bertie Warnes, who were going to be tough to face, so we went with the tactic of seeing them off before targeting the other bowlers. We managed to do exactly that with Jamie Ward (12 off 34) and Jake Curtis (9 off 23) seeing off all 4 bowlers, which set the platform for the middle order to score quickly. Firstly, the run rate was upped by Ollie Foot who scored an excellent 23, before TJ Tyndall took over to score 8 boundaries in his phenomenal 46* to take us home to victory with 2 balls to spare!

It was an excellent all round performance today, but a special mention has to go to TJ Tyndall for his top class 46 not out.
