Sawbridgeworth u13 v BSCC u13

A tough battle tonight against Sawbo. We won the toss and put them into bat on a Leventhorpe pitch which needed a decent mow. The outfield was incredibly slow and there were very few boundaries all night.

We bowled exceptionally well keeping Sawbo to 72 off 20 overs. All ten players who bowled should be really pleased with the way they bowled. Freddie was outstanding taking 2 wickets and conceding only 6 runs in 4 overs. Will Hale, Will Dommett , Will Stabb and Jamie Searle also took wickets. Those who didnt take wickets kept it very tight as well. We only gave away 5 wides in 20 overs.

Having been set a low target to win, once again we showed some nerves with the batting and that is a focus to improve as we are a great batting team.

Will Dommett and Jake persevered to make double figures and we struggled with the run rate, but Will Hale chanced his arm and scored a cavalier 20 not out to bring the run rate within reach, and Freddie joined him to comfortably win in the end.

An amazing bowling effort tonight. Slow batting (only 3 boundaries but to be fair the grass needed a cut) and good teamwork in the field. Well done boys. MOM - Freddie - superb bowling performance.
