BSCC U13 v Broxbourne

This turned out to be an easy win but it did not start too well as Broxbourne elected to bat first and the early bowling and fielding lacked energy and purpose with 2 batsmen hitting 12 boundaries and both retiring on 30no - 68-1 after 10 overs with Edward bowling the opener. Things improved dramatically after a drinks break with Toby, Liam and Finlay taking a wicket each along with 3 run outs restricting them to 106 all out after 19 overs.
Thomas set about their bowling hitting 6 quick boundaries to retire on 33no and Edward followed in exactly same way with 4x4 and a 6 making 30no. All this time Vishal was content to pick up singles but then hit a lovely cover drive for 4 followed in the next over with a 6 into the trees from a full toss only to get caught for 23 soon after. Archie (1no) and Matthew (8no) finished the job with 6 overs to spare.
