Massive (>100 run) victory over Broxbourne U14s!!

To be honest, this was Broxbourne's "B" team, so we decided that BSCC should bat first.

Dan (21) and Alex (20) started solid enough, but then both tried to accelerate unsuccessfully with the score around 50 after 8 overs. But, the platform was set for Oli (40n.o. off 30) and James (28 n.o. off 17), with Sam (16 n.o.) also chipping in some quick runs. This positive and aggressive batting gave BSCC U14s 163 runs off the 20 overs - a perfect start.

We started the second half strongly, with almost everyone fielding within yards of their batters. Harrison (2o-3r-1w) picked up a quick wicket with the batter chipping to cover and Will Fox (2o-5r) kept it tight. Luca (2o-13r-2w) nearly missed a hat trick, whilst Daniel (2o-10r-1w) snicked one to Joe behind the stumps. It started becoming a bit of a joke as Tom Combes (3o-1r-1w) picked up the 5th wicket for almost no runs! Broxbourne blocked everything out to last out the 20 overs, but totalled only 61 runs.

We can't get too complacent as we will miss 7 players on a Boys High cricket tour when we play Broxbourne again!
