In yet another very respectable performance for the U14Bs, we just lost out today at St Margs.
As a group, we fielded really well, only dropping one catch, otherwise spot on. We also bowled a lot of dots today, however one issue which keeps creeping in is the amount of extras. 49 extras today cost us big time, if we can reduce that in the future, we can win these games against the oppo A teams.
Even with the extras, we made a really good effort trying to chase it. Having lost 2 early wickets, George Lello (15) and Harry Thompson (27) put on a great partnership, with Harry in particular batting excellently. After they were both out, it seemed like we were out the game until Matt Reader played a blinder scoring a quick fire 24*, which really gave us a chance, but unfortunately we fell just short.
The B team is doing really well in their first season in the A leagues, getting closer and closer to their first win, which I’m sure will come soon! We know look to forward to a friendly away at Sawbo on Wednesday
