Strong Run Chase See U14's Home Against WGC

A quick report. A confident batting performance swept the U14's to a comfortable 9-wicket win in 14.4 overs last Monday (4th June).

Benji (41 retired) and Murray (23) took their time to build their partnership but were able to target the second string bowlers. With powerful hitting and good running the run rate enabled the team to chase down the WGC total of 106 with 5 overs to go.

The bowling again lacked some accuracy (with 9 wides and 2 no balls) which is something we need to work on.

Everyone bowled which was pleasing with Benji (2 for 12 off 4) the pick. Wickets each for Max, Kieran, Archie, Themiya and Teddy.

With 2 matches to play next week - Preston on Tues 19th and WGC on Fri 22nd - 2 wins may take us into the QF's so good availability and strong XI's are needed.
