U15s First loss of the season

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we only had 8 players available.
With no chance of calling off the game as we were all on our way we decided to go ahead as it was already mid May and the U15s hadn’t even faced or bowled a single ball.
So on a bitterly cold evening our 8 players ranging from age 10 to 15 took to the field with 2 Hertford fielders that had been kindly loaned to us.

We put on a good show of fielding but our rusty bowling let us down with too many wides.

Captain Billy opened the batting with U14 Murray. Billy went on to retire on 41 which included 5 fours.
Every one of our 8 players got to bat. However, frustratingly Hertford were unable to bowl us all out.ll
