The U15 team recorded their 2nd win in dramatic fashion reaching their target with a single of the last ball of the game.
Our bowling was generally accurate but our fielding was erratic as we dropped a number of catches, gave the oppositon extra runs with misfields but also got 3 excellent runouts. The other wickets came from openers Hudson and Ealey and credit should go to Lyall on his debut bowling 3 very tight overs and having 2 catches go down.
Hoddesdon's score of exactly 100 looked very achievable and Thomas started like a man possessed hitting 13 in 7 balls before holing out at mid off. Williams (19) and Burslem (41) made solid progress and although we lost a few wickets at the end Burslem's strong hitting seemed to get us into a winning position with 5 to win off the last over. Unfortunately Burslem was clean bowled with 1 to win so left the final ball for Crowther who calmly found a gap in the field to secure the winning run.
