Excellent win for the U12s girls

The U12 girls have many new players this year and to see them step up and do so well on Sunday is fantastic. Grand Union batted first and were constantly pegged back by good bowling and three run outs (by Alicia,Suzy and Malli) . Two wickets each for Malli (2-6) and Alicia (2-2) being the stand out performances with the ball.
Batting second, we got off to a shaky start as the opposition top player took three quick wickets but then steady accumulation of runs and no more wickets overtook the Grand Union score. An excellent performance with the bat from Jessica scoring 16 not out crowned an excellent batting performance. Well done also to Wanatsa, Elizabeth and Léa in the their first season doing a great job.
We are joint top of the league and will have to improve availability if we are to compete in the league and aim for the Final again this year. We have important games coming up so please make sure you clear the diary for these games.
