BSCC U11s v St Margaretsbury

St Margaretsbury turned up with a much stronger team than last week and ran out comfortable winners in the 11 a-side game. They batted first with their opening bat smashing a very quick 30 including a 6 into the trees. William struck early in his first over and Luca did the same from his first ball in the next over leaving them 15-2. They continued to score quickly with strong shots to the boundary until Alicia bowled their No 4 but this did not stop the run scoring and our only other wicket was an excellent run out throw from Thomas and they finished on 107-4 in their 16 overs. We lost Thomas early to a good catch but then Freddie and Tom settled into their stride scoring 3 4s between them but they found it difficult to force the pace against good tight bowling. Tom was then bowled for 11 and Oliver joined Freddie but they only scored in singles, Oliver eventually bowled for 5 with Freddie ending 16 Not Out and Ruben 1 not out, leaving us 41 short of the target at the end.
