Winning the toss captain Murray led from the front hitting 5 strong boundaries to retire on 27no in the 6th over. Edward followed his example hitting 4 4s in another quick 27no, after which Damien pressed the accelerator and getting to his 25 with 3 more boundaries. Themiya, Toby and Fabian all contributed quick runs and despite losing a few wickets at the end Stortford finished on a positive 134-4 after 20 overs. Edward took an early wicket as he, Elizabeth, Damien & Themiya all kept the runs in check pushing them behind the rate. Luke and Sam bowled well as they started to be more aggressive with Sam picking up our 2nd wicket and then Max bowled 2 quick overs for very few runs. Our fielding standards dropped as they took more risks allowing them to get to within 25 with 2 overs to go but another tidy over from Max conceded only 4 and Edward finished off and despite some frantic running Sawbridgeworth ended 7 runs short in an entertaining game where we were able to involved all 1 players. A good team win to start the Summer League campaign.
