The Club is delighted to announce that outstanding local coach and Director of HECC has joined Bishop’s Stortford Cricket Club on a three year commitment as our new Director of Coaching.
Luke has over 20 years of coaching experience. A Loughborough University graduate he has worked for Hertfordshire as emerging players head coach and performance Director. He has also dealt with the best in the country during his time being involved with the England Lions and was lead batting coach for the England talent tests. He is currently involved with the National Fast Bowling Academy.
More locally Luke is known for his work at HECC and in September this year he successfully applied for the ECB level 4 specialist award, a two year course resulting in the highest qualification in the UK. He has worked for local clubs in Harlow and Hoddesdon and is involved in local schools, The Bishop’s Stortford High School and Bishop’s Stortford College.
At our club he will lead our team of great coaches to ensure we have a truly excellent coaching structure for senior and junior players. Focusing heavily on our junior programme. Providing a flexible and dynamic coaching programme for both boys and girls enabling them to progress and thrive into senior cricket.
Luke will take over from Dom Chatfield who has left the club. We thank Dom for all his efforts and wish him well.
