Many of our older first team players remember fondly the time they were skinny and fresh faced youngsters breaking into the first team. Club captain at the time was David Hughes.

David captained the club from 2006 and led a young team to three promotions culminating in being promoted to the top division back in 2010.

We are delighted to announce that David has agreed to return this season and help us regain our premier league status. He will be first team coach guiding and mentoring our young side as they navigate the Championship.

David is currently Head of Cricket at Bishop’s Stortford College where he has directed the school's success on the cricket field and has been instrumental in coaching the many youngsters at the school who have gone on to play for our first team.

We are delighted to have David, Claire, Max and Libby back in the fold.
